Due to popular demand Island Rose has discontinued trips to the Bahamas and is now starting charters out of Islamorada thru the end of April.
Located in the heart of the Florida Keys on Snake Creek our trips will be departing from Smugglers Cove. Some of the best reefs in the Keys are a matter of minutes away! Located between Florida Bay and the Straights of Florida no matter what the weather and which way the wind blows there is fun in every direction. Your tropical vacation starts as soon as you arrive! Snake Creek is perfect for kayaking and gunk holing in the tender with lots of fishing, wildlife, bird watching and snorkeling. For more adventurous wildlife there are dozens of waterfront cafes and tiki bars on the waterways. Most afternoons these cafes and tiki bars have a live band.
10 miles to the north is Pennycamp Park with some of the best reefs in North America and 78 miles to the south is Key West! And 5 miles off shore are the deep blue waters that have given Islamorada the reputation of being the fishing capital of the world!
After April we will also be running trips out of Fort Lauderdale where you have the convenience of getting off the plane and boarding the boat without the need for transportation to the middle keys.

Ahoy Mates! I am Captain Gerard Robinson and I love to sail! I want to tell you all about my sailboat, the Island Rose, and our adventures………….
I run a very relaxed ship for a crew of up to 6 people. In fact, it’s like a dream vacation— Sailing the crystal blue waters of the Islands with its white sandy beaches or exploring the parks of the Florida Keys – I really can’t think of a better way to spend time. I sail out of Ft. Lauderdale part time but during the winter months will be sailing out of Smugglers Cove in Islamorada located in the middle keys just minutes away from some of the most beautiful cruising grounds in the world.
- Life on the Island Rose is fantastic! Spend lazy days sipping cool Pina Coladas while sunbathing in a hammock on the foredeck…… You can sail, fish, snorkel and explore deserted islands…… Spend your evenings at a marina to enjoy the island nightlife!
- Or the romantic in you will want to anchor out in the ocean under the stars with no one around you but the cool sea breeze, the moon and the fish swimming silently by.
