20 Most Beautiful Beaches in the World

Whitehaven Beach, Whitsundays Island, Australia
Whitehaven Beach is a seven kilometre stretch of pristine beach on Whitsunday Island, among the 74 islands that make up the Whitsunday Archipelago. This is a must-see for visitors to the area, renowned for its white silica sand (which is 98 percent pure), turquoise waters and lack of tourists.
Whitehaven is unique in that the snow-white sands and turquoise waters swirl around each other, creating a marble-like fusion. At the northern end of the beach is a tidal inlet called Hill Inlet, where you can see these two elements interact on a daily basis.
